Round 1 of NCAA D1 Tournament brought plenty of highlights! Here’s a few of our favorites from 3d Alums. 1. Jack Pappendick with a huge goal to help seal a gritty win on the road for Duke to advance 2. Gunnar Fellows was right place, right time for Army 3. Dylan Blekicki put away two big goals for Yale as they mounted a comeback in the dome 4. Thomas Porell scored his first career goal in a huge game for Notre Dame 5. Natty Mason went 1 and 1 in an electric game Georgetown to help them advance to the 2nd round 6. Jimmy McCool with ice in his veins helped fend off Yale with 17 saves including a game sealing flash that were used to seeing from the big lefty. 7. Jimmy Ayers scores the last two goals for the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays including the OT Game winner to knock of the defending champs Proud would be an understatement.
