Today is a good day for a #throwbackthursday. During last year’s Lobby Day, we took the concerns that Black communities across the country were facing to Capitol Hill. We connected with our elected officials and political leaders to ensure that Black people were present in the very rooms making decisions about our future. This Lobby Day, happening on May 20, we’re going back to those same rooms not just to talk about our concerns, but to fight for solutions. We’re discussing: – Dangerous book bans – Threats to our museums and cultural centers – Technology and algorithms harming – not helping – Black families and voices Will you be in the DMV area on May 20?
