The move signals that Europe’s largest planemaker is not ready to cede Bangladesh’s fast-growing aviation market to its American rival, despite Boeing’s recent major win. “Airbus has recently submitted a proposal to Biman for selling its aircraft. Biman’s concerned committee is evaluating it,” Biman General Manager (Public Relations) Boshra Islam told The Daily Star, though she declined to elaborate further on the specifics of the offer.
