Today we’re featuring Arlene Hammel, the artist behind the work in Studio 476.
Arlene Hammel is an acrylic painter whose creative process often begins with a photograph taken during her travels. Whether near or far, she is always on the lookout for images that might inspire their way onto a canvas. Her style is representational, yet she interprets each scene in her own distinct way. Overall, Arlene’s work explores the world around us, reflecting what brings joy, meaning and connection to our lives.
Arlene’s painting, “All Together Now”, was recently featured as part of the GBH Community Canvas initiative which displays the work of local artists on their digital mural overlooking the Mass Pike. Her work has also been displayed in regional and national juried exhibitions, as well as in corporate and private collections.
