This is in the Made in Newark section of The Ballantine House 🏠. This section of the House was meant to highlight the Newark community as a city with a history of artists, craftspeople, and industrial workers.⚒️ The Sullivan family lived here in Newark and they saved this memento of the donor’s early years 🍼✨. While Newark was known for its silver industry, this spoon was not made here. It was probably purchased in a Newark shop or department store as a baby gift.🥄🛍️ Oneida Community Silversmiths, Baby Spoon, ca. 1953 Silverplate Gift of Dr. Gretchen S.
