I’d love to tell you that having more dandelions in your yard will help your tomatoes ripen faster… but it’s just not true. Fruits like tomatoes, bananas and apples need ethylene gas to ripen. Dandelions happen to produce a fair amount of ethylene gas. So in theory the 2 should help each other out. Unfortunately in the great outdoors there’s not enough concentration of gas because it dissipates.
