Part 2 of writing around The Tyranny of the Man Hour. We’re tracking the collateral damage that occurs within the practice of Craft when struck with single flattened metrics like the “man-hour”. Sadly, it’s not even an imaginative new concept, the imposition of this harks back to the first clock towers built in the 1870s, to align with Industrial production and colonial control. When we describe Craft in the language of man-hours, we speak in the shadow of the old Clock towers. More fun as we work our way through this exciting provocative terrain, part of a longer iterative project with The Future of Craft. . #thebusride #thebusridelab #indiafuturesproject indiafutureslab
