After spending a week putting this new release to the test, I ran into a few frustrating design choices that are worth knowing about before you buy: - The mounting threads on the sides and top are recessed, meaning most standard tripod screws won’t reach without an adapter. - You are forced to use the brand new LP-E6P batteries, otherwise the camera has severe limitations. - If you plan on adapting your older EF lenses, they will not function at all unless you are using those new batteries.
