📣Doulas Victimized by Fraud and Harassment📣 The Doula Association of Alberta (DAA) is cooperating with the Brantford Police Service (of Brantford, Ontario) on a criminal case affecting DAA Members and other Canadian doulas involving harassment, fraud, and sexual assault of doula professionals. Kaitlyn Braun, 24, of Brantford, Ontario is facing a number of charges related to fraudulently seeking the assistance of registered doulas for false pregnancies and stillbirths between June 2022 and March 2023. The accused has also been shown to use other names including Kaitlyn Grace, Kate/Katie/Kaitlyn Ross, and Amber Timmons. On Monday, March 13, 2023, the accused was arrested and charged. Charges are related to offences which are alleged to have occurred in multiple communities within Ontario, with a number of victims identified.
