Feeling we are undeserving to our fee or accomplishments are things that many new doulas struggle with. If your a newer doula feeling this way here is a few ways to cope. • Write down all your skills, even though you have only been in birthwork for a short time you will be blown away to see how many of the skills you have learned over your lifetime directly transfer through to birthwork. • Take little steps. Even the most seasoned doulas still have so much to learn! Know that nobody knows Everything. Do not compare yourself to others! •Share your feelings. Talk to other doulas about how you are feeling.
