This protects you if your clients decide not to pay the last portion of their fee - this only happened to me once in the 10 years of practice…but it was enough to prompt me to switch it up from never happening again! Mostly, it’s just a clean practice. Be settled up before baby arrives so it’s not lingering on anybody else’s agenda so you can be wholly and completely present for your clients.
