On average, my clients book around 20-25 weeks, which gives them the benefit of a doula relationship for a little longer. However, if your pregnancy includes a lot of scheduling stress, travel, or you want to wait longer before making a financial commitment, how late is too late to leave things?? Ideally you would hire me at or before 38 weeks so we would have time to schedule a prenatal meeting and get to know your birth preferences a bit better.
