For year, I genuinely believed building muscle was going to be hard for me. That my body wasn’t built for it. After spending so much of my life as a ballet dancer, I had it in my head that lifting weights would make me look masculine. So I stayed small, literally and figuratively. Then picked up weights anyway and everything I thought I knew fell apart in the best way possible. I stopped shrinking and started taking up space with intention. You do not have to choose between feeling feminine just and feeling strong. That was never a real choice. Someone just made you think it was. #beginnerfitness #gym #gymmotivation #girlswholift
