Summer days in Colorado
Selected Colorado frames from my new book, Wandering America. Available now for preorder at the link in my bio.
The Rocky Mountains were where I first really learned to shoot. Growing up in Missouri, they felt almost mythical to me. Close enough to reach with a long drive, but far enough away to feel like another world.
Over time, Colorado became one of the places where photography started to make sense. Early mornings, long hikes, quiet roads, alpine lakes, summer fields, passing storms, and that kind of stillness that makes everything else feel small for a while.
These photographs were made across years of wandering through the Rockies, chasing light, weather, and the feeling of being alone in a landscape big enough to quiet you down.
Shot on various film cameras with Portra 400.
