Growing up in the 90’s, this was everything.
One football.
A pair of goalposts made from slippers.
And the whole society turned into a stadium.
No notifications.
No distractions.
Just muddy shoes, loud laughs & endless evenings.
Back then, I used to run behind the ball for hours.
Today, I’m running on the same ground —
but this time, he’s running beside me.
He thinks I’m teaching him football.
But honestly, he’s bringing back the little boy I used to be.
Maybe that’s the most beautiful part of fatherhood.
You don’t just watch your child grow.
You quietly relive your own childhood too.
