Most useful tip for every HYROX doubles station
SKI ERG
Have the fitter athlete start and finish.
This keeps the pace high early and prevents a huge drop off at the end when fatigue hits.
SLED PUSH
The fitter athlete should do more work on each length, but still switch once per length whenever possible.
If one athlete is clearly moving the sled much better, let them take the entire final length.
SLED PULL
Have the stronger athlete start the pull.
Getting the sled moving is the hardest part and where strength matters most.
BURPEE BROAD JUMPS
Communicate constantly and never stop moving.
The best doubles teams are smooth, not heroic.
ROWER
Same strategy as the Ski Erg.
The fitter athlete should start and finish. If one athlete is feeling significantly stronger late, let them close the final 250m.
FARMERS CARRY
Have the less fit athlete start and carry as far as possible.
Then let the fitter athlete finish strong and minimize drops late in the station.
