Good Afternoon, Friends,
Today is National Endangered Species Day, a day to raise awareness, celebrate, and learn about Endangered Species worldwide, and reflect on what we can do to protect these inspiring animals and ensure the bright and thriving future they deserve.
From Colorado’s own native species–the Black-Footed Ferret, the Canada Lynx, the Gray Wolf, the Lesser Prairie-Chicken, and the Greenback Cutthroat Trout–to endangered animals around the world, like Black Rhinos, Blue Whales, Amur Leopards, and Monarch Butterflies, every species plays an important role in maintaining healthy ecosystems and a liveable planet.
I encourage everyone to take a moment today to learn more about endangered species and consider small ways we can all make a difference, whether by supporting conservation organizations, spending time in nature, or encouraging people young and old to care about animals as fellow travelers on life’s journey. 🌎🐘🦏🦒🐅
