HBCU Alum in History- Yesterday, May 17th , Fisk University alum, and former President Hazel O’Leary, turned 89-years-old. 💡The Newport News, Virginia native made history in 1993, when she was nominated by President Bill Clinton to become the first female, and first Black person to serve as the United States Secretary of Energy. 💕💚O’Leary is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and a lawyer.
