I haven’t seen season 2 of The Last of Us yet (so no spoilers!), but season 1 really stuck with me, and I painted this portrait of Bella Ramsey. Also, I have yet to show the finished portraits of Pedro Pascal! Maybe tomorrow? I’m using two types of paint on this @charvinarts and @turnercolourworks acrylic gouache on my favorite painting surface @ampersand_art #Gessobord. I get all my supplies from @jerrysartarama. I’ve mentioned that I’ve been using these panels for over ten years now, and can see another ten years ahead. The surface has just the right balance — smooth but with enough grip to hold paint exactly how I want it. Acrylic gouache dries flat and matte like traditional gouache. Gessobord handles it easily with no cracking, no lifting, and the colors stay sharp. You can layer thin washes or go more opaque, and it all holds up without any weird surprises.
