It’s #1212 #tombradyday! This is part of an unfinished illustration sample of the #GOAT tombrady I started over the summer hoping to work with the patriots. I never finished it because I started work on my first collaboration with the team soon after, which turned out to be the season opener game day poster, which has even sold out of all copies! Getting to do that plus more is a dream come true for a Pats fan that also an illustrator artist. I was trying out some new rendering approaches on this one. I tried rendering it entirely in grayscale and added a gradient map for the colors. So many illustrators do that technique well and thought I’d try it out. Not exactly successful but a learning experience, which is what I was setting out to do. The #rockybalboa theme is appropriate here, since he was a 6th rd draft pick that fought his way to the top. #forevernewengland #fne #patsnation🏈
