A little insight into how I paint an overly muscular #NewEnglandPatriots player’s arm. When I painted this I was looking at @edelman11, who pretty much is a real life #Wolverine. I mean the dude embodies Wolvie’s spirit. Just look at the 28-3 game and that catch. Nobody but Jules could have pulled that off. Anyway, back to the #painting ideas. I went full on #robliefeld on this arms. Well, I tried to at least. I wanted the player to feel larger than life, so making him strong enough rip a car in half was what I wanted to do in this. So in this piece I homaged not only the grandfather of illustration, #NCWyeth but also the man himself, @robliefeld. How many #illustrators do you know that have pulled that off? Probably not enough. Definitely not enough.
