Lots happening on this one: big thanks to @jerrysartarama for sending me some new @turnercolourworks acryl gouache to use on this. I’m painting onto a slick surface with a dark brown. The black shines through thinner down paint creating deeper tones. I left that in place for the most part, but when I needed more control over the value I had to layer it up and add white to thicken the paint. The end result is a pretty cool Dallas house traditional painting style where the Ground colors plays a role. Not something I typicallyI do these days.
