On this piece, I subconsciously leaned into old influences of rickberrystudio, philhalestudio and jonfosterstudios on this one. I think it's mainly in the cloud shapes, but I can see their influence of dynamic posing in the figure as well. I'm so lucky to have had learned from Jon and Rick in particular when I was younger. There were so many good nights painting in oils on giant boards in Rick's and later our shared studio that I will always hold dear. There is a lineage in art, and it's something I've always been interested in. Where do the influences lead and how far back can you go.
