I had taken a lot of video on this painting of my daughter thinking of writing a break down of my supplies (showing it to her when she’s older). It’s been edited it down from 10 minutes of real-time painting to 30 seconds. As per previous posts, my palette was rather large here. I kept the color choices within the pink family and used @turnercolourworks luminous colors (red, orange and rose) to get the higher value colors. Thanks to @jerrysartarama for supplying these paints to me to try out. Don’t ignore the new luminous color sets. These colors have high staining power, which means you don’t need a lot to get your mix right. Alone they are pretty transparent, which makes for a great glazing color. Given their dense pigmentation, the glazes go on easily when thinned down. When adding white to them for tinting, they do thicken up and cover well opaquely.
