After finishing up my first semester of grad school I’m reminded of this portrait I painted of my Grandma back in 2010. I always wanted to explore broken paint but fell in love with “finish” and got sidetracked. Knowing when to stop painting is a tough thing to work out as each piece presents its own set of problems to solve. Exploring problems may be the most appropriate way to describe my current mindset on this, however.
