I didn’t get Magna Cum Laude, I didn’t get Summa Cum Laude… I just got Thank You Lawd! 😂 To the Mississippi Valley State University community, I just want to say thank y’all for everything y’all did for me. Through my three years at the Valley, it’s been rough, but it’s also been great at the same time. Valley showed me a lot about myself and a lot about other people. You don’t always have to have the best resources in the world to be successful. Being from the Valley means a lot because to be here, you have to have heart and resilience. Hard work is what I learned from being at Valley—from playing football, being in the choir, to even running track. I enjoyed it all. It was a great experience, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Valley is such a family-oriented place. Although a lot of people groan and complain about it, we’ll always have a special place in our hearts for Valley.
