If you've never put together a bad fit, then you've never put together a good one.
Learning and growth require experimentation and risk. You have to try things outside your comfort zone.
But for the outfit to come out good, it can't all be tension. There has to be some harmony, some method in your madness.
denimheadsonly told me that he had put together some bad fits lately. Clearly, this was one of them. He tried it, and he knows, in retrospect, what we can all see. It didn't work. That's okay.
Don't shoot me a DM begging to be made fun of. If you want to be made fun of, either:
1. Wait until I run another story submission and hope I pick your outfit. No guarantees. Could be a very long time.
2. Subscribe to my blog, and post in the
#ootd-mean channel. I won't guarantee a roast, but I do check the channel, so we'll see.
3. Pay me for a styling session, and ask me to be mean in the request. I would never be mean to a client unless they really, really wanted it.
