Day 3 - retreat in Boquete, Panama. Underpinning this morning's practice was the (ancient) Vedic understanding of the forest as a place of fear and darkness - embodied in the belly/pelvis. The practice we did this morning, incorporating Pranayama techniques of kapalabhati, agni sera, and bastrika, release that fear and darkness by recreating an illuminating sunrise. Through these practices, aliveness flows through the body and heart. Each sensation - the breath, warmth from the sun, breeze on the skin, movement of muscle and bones - can be viewed as a gift to be received, as all doing settles into receptivity. Receiving the sensation becomes "I am sensation". Receiving the light becomes "I am the light, I am the radiance". Feeling these gifts as gifts from spirit becomes "I am spirit itself". Jai Bhagwan! See our stories for demos of these techniques and join us for our Pranayama program in November 2023! Pranakriya.com #jaibhagwan #pranakriyayoga #yoganand #boqueteyogaretreat #...
