Road trip day 2-4: Chiloquin, OR to Zephyr Cove, NV (South Lake Tahoe area) - 330 miles. We stopped in Reno for groceries and the Patagonia Outlet before making our way to Zephyr Cove Campground near South Tahoe. Spent 2 nights in Tahoe, hiked to Castle Rock (trail was 90% snow covered, we punched through thigh deep in some spots but we made it to the viewpoint! I’d wait a few more weeks to do this hike for those that aren’t snow hiking fans), got dinner with a friend in Incline Village, and caught up with another old coworker/friend eating bagels at Nevada Beach before hitting the road south again.
