This past NFL season, I got to watch a football game at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers took on the New York Jets in their home opener. Fun fact, it was the game that head coach Aaron Glenn prematurely celebrated and did his dance on the sideline after a defensive or special teams touchdown, before the Bucs came back to win the game.
On the Friday before the Sunday game, I had the opportunity of touring the stadium. As part of the stadium tour, we got to go on the Pirate Ship, see the locker room, and got to go on the field, among other things. The field was cool because it’s a grass field, and since it was the home opener, we got to watch the field get painted. The field painters were robots, coded by humans, to avoid human error and get the correct precise measurements. This is something I had never seen before, so I thought it was extremely cool and I wanted to share for my Instagram followers to be able to experience as well.
