Congrats to the perfect parents. Before I had Aalaya, I also used to be one of those people saying: “my child would NEVER act like.” And then I had a strong willed two year old with a developing brain, big emotions, zero emotional regulation, and vacation overstimulation. Turns out tantrums aren’t always about “bad parenting,” sometimes they’re literally just toddlers being toddlers. Their brains physically cannot process emotions the way adults can yet. So congratulations if your child has never melted down in Public or on vacation… genuinely. But some kids are just harder, louder, more sensitive, more emotional, and more intense than others.
