Anna formed a Red Cross Club at her school, samfordu, after being introduced to the opportunity by a volunteer recruiter in one of her classes. “I saw a need for Samford to give back to a community that had poured so much into us, and I thought a Red Cross Club would be the perfect way to do that,” she said. Anna worked tirelessly with the recruiter to grow Samford’s Red Cross Club, recruiting at least 26 members within the first three weeks. They now meet once a month to brainstorm volunteer opportunities. One of those opportunities was part of our national Home Fire Campaign, where they partnered with the Birmingham Fire & Rescue Department.
