Meet Doreen Alvez, the Wildfire County Coordinator for Tulare County. 👋 Since 2021, #WildfireCountyCoordinators, powered by a partnership between cafiresafe and CAL FIRE, have been increasing community wildfire resilience by planning and advancing prevention, preparedness, mitigation, and recovery projects. Through the Wildfire County Coordinator program, Doreen is helping bring together partners, tools, and resources to support wildfire preparedness across her community. She’s worked closely with CAL FIRE to share trusted information on defensible space, home hardening, and Firewise principles—making it easier for residents to take action and better protect their homes. 🔥 That collaboration also shows up in local outreach.
