This headband hacks your dreams.
A US startup called Prophetic just launched a wearable that detects when you’re dreaming — and helps you take control of it.
No pills. No injections. Just a band on your forehead before bed.
Here’s how it works:
• Tiny sensors send gentle sound waves to the part of your brain linked to awareness
• During dreams, that area normally goes quiet — which is why bizarre things feel completely normal.
• The device briefly activates it, so you know you’re dreaming without waking up.
They’ve built two versions — Dual and the more advanced Phase. And it’s 100x cheaper than the lab equipment it’s based on.
The use cases are wild. Ending a nightmare before it wakes you. Rehearsing a high-stakes moment. Revisiting memories you thought were gone.
If this works the way they say it does, it’s not just a gadget. It’s a new layer of human experience tech just unlocked.
Would you try this, or is this a line technology shouldn’t cross? Drop your thoughts below...
