Chinese robotics company Unitree just unveiled the GD01, the world's first production-ready manned mecha suit, starting around $574,000. It weighs roughly 500 kilograms with a pilot inside, walks on two legs, and transforms into a four-legged configuration for rough terrain. Unitree founder Wang Xingxing personally piloted the launch demo. The release comes as Unitree's 2025 revenue surged 335% to 1.7 billion yuan, with the company filing for an IPO on China's STAR Market and reportedly shipping the most humanoid robots in the world last year.
