Most people haven't, and that's exactly why this place is so special 🧵 Tucked away in Rathbarry, West Cork, the Sprigging School was founded in 1825 to teach a delicate form of white embroidery - daisies and shamrocks stitched onto fine linen for collars, bonnets and christening robes. The little schoolhouse even came with a live-in teacher, a settle bed, a kitchen and apparently a flock of unruly hens that landed her before the local magistrate...
