A woman plunged to her death after stepping out of her car into an uncovered manhole in midtown, Manhattan, when stepping out of her car. A witness says those in the area immediately rushed over to help her. Video footage from the area suggests the cover to the hole was dislodged by a truck about 10 minutes before the accident.
