Our Honors Biology students shared their independent research at the second annual SHP Bio Expo! Projects ranged from a website on how meditation impacts the brain, artwork demonstrating the evolution of curly hair, physical models of insulin pathways, a video explaining how CRISPR can cure sickle cell anemia, and much more. The event also featured presentations from guest speakers Dr. Katie Solari, who shared her research on snow leopard conservation genomics, and Ms. Sophie Jean Walton, who spoke on the evolution of the gut microbiome, before wrapping up with an engaging panel discussion led by our student BioMedTech club. 👏🧬 #shsatherton #shp #shpbiology #bioexpo
