West Orange High School rising senior Ben Rheingold ('27) is turning personal adversity into advocacy. A varsity lacrosse player, AP/Honors student, and member of FARE’s national Teen Advisory Group, Ben has spent years navigating life-threatening food allergies with courage and resilience. Recently, he visited Redwood Elementary School, speaking with seven classrooms about food allergy awareness and sharing teal ribbon stickers and bracelets with students. Ben’s mission goes far beyond his own story. He’s now working to help strengthen support for student-athletes with food allergies by developing an “Allergy-Safe Athletics Playbook” for West Orange, transforming his experiences into meaningful action that could help others feel safer, seen, and supported. #wopride #foodallergies
