There are more than 3 million feral hogs that cause more than $500 million in damage to agriculture and private property throughout Texas each year. Feral hogs are a burden on native wildlife and are responsible for widespread disturbances within native ecosystems. A two-year study conducted by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service was able to effectively and efficiently reduce feral hog numbers within their study through the use of a low-dose warfarin-based toxicant when utilized correctly.
