Practice patience when looking at your garden after the hard freeze. Although your plants may look damaged and ugly, it’s best to leave them be until after the last freeze of the winter. Pruning too early can cause more damage by removing insulation that could protect them from another round of freezing temperatures.
For many parts of the state, as much as two months of potential frost remain. Try to be patient during this time and your plant may return in the spring just fine.
