Apple Springs is a community centered around the school district. In similar communities across Texas, the Rural Student Success Initiative, an #AgriLifeExtension program, supports under-resourced school districts to raise the education aspiration among students. 🍎📚 The program, supported by the #GreaterTXFoundation, #TLLTempleFoundation, @meadowsfoundation, and the #TrellisFoundation, helps increase the number and success of rural students seeking a postsecondary education. The @txamfoundation played an early role in securing initial funding and developing the initiative, which currently serves about 6,000 students in grades 8-12.
