Happy National FFA Week! We checked in with some Aggies who are former FFA-ers and asked what led them to want to pursue a degree in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University.
Thomas Egbert '26 was the 2022-2023 Texas FFA State Vice President and is now a sophomore poultry science major! He shared about his time in FFA and how it influenced his education and career decisions:
"I always knew I wanted to pursue a degree in the agricultural field and continue to be a part of the industry that feeds us all. As an FFA member, it was very easy to see just how much Texas A&M truly valued Texas FFA and the progression of agricultural education for the youth of Texas. Experiencing first hand how Texas A&M pours back into this organization made the decision to come to Texas A&M and pursue a degree in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences easy and exciting."
