The Women’s Health Strategy was renewed in April 2026, but quite honestly, it hasn't received the attention it deserves. We are sharing these figures because we’ve seen how easily momentum can pitter out. We cannot let this strategy become another forgotten document; we need to keep our foot on the pedal.
⏳ The "Bonus" Years: Women live longer than men, but we spend over a quarter of our lives - roughly 22 years - in poor health.
📍 The Postcode Lottery: Women in the poorest areas spend over a third of their lives in ill health and die 8 years sooner than those in the wealthiest areas.
📢 A Crisis: Black women are still nearly 3 times more likely to die during childbirth than White women.
📉 Wrong Direction: Healthy life expectancy for women is actually falling, not rising.
