For generations, many girls in the Bedia community were pushed into a life they never chose. Poverty, social pressure, and tradition left families believing there was no other option. When IPS officer Dr Veerendra Mishra visited these villages in Madhya Pradesh, he saw children growing up with fear, shame, and almost no hope for a different future. Instead of only speaking about change, he spent years building trust with families and helping villages with basic needs before focusing on education. What began with just 13 children in 2010 has now helped more than 5,000 children across 60 villages access education and support. Today, some of them are studying law, nursing, and engineering — creating futures that once seemed impossible. A reminder that education can change not just one life, but entire generations. . .
