I am honored to officially be the Democratic nominee for governor, and I look forward to taking on Brad Little in November. The vitriolic comments left across social media reminded me just how much our political climate has normalized cruelty. The current administration has given some people a hall pass to become the worst version of themselves online, hiding behind screens to spread hate, misinformation, and division. I still believe most people are good.
