I am filled with regret… That I didn’t try MORE hot dogs and poutine in Montreal. It’s a little known secret that Montreal is one of the world’s best food cities and the late night food scene is just as amazing. chez.claudette absolutely delivered. Hot dogs AND poutine? What more can you want? I learned on the trip that hot dogs are called “steamies” and are served “all dressed” which is mustard, onion, relish, and a vinegar slaw. But I will say…. I think I actually received a “toastie” last night as you can see by my grilled bun. Still delicious. The traditional poutine is well known and has frites, gravy, and cheese.
