Just got access to emails so I missed a special volunteer recognition for volunteers week which ended on the 7th June. This recognition goes to 👏👏 Doreen McCormick 👏👏 who started Norfolk Iceni Basketball Club 40 years ago! She has dedicated an extremely large part of her life to the club and Basketball in Norfolk. She creates the infrastructure for what the rest of the club revolves around. Without her commitment and never ending drive and passion the club would not exist. There are a lot of girls and ladies in Norfolk who owe their love of basketball to her. Based in Norwich this ALL GIRLS club runs solely on the great spirit and passion of a small group of fantastic volunteers. Hundreds of junior and senior ladies have passed through the hands of these very committed coaches, team managers, minibus drivers, tea ladies!
