NASA’s Psyche spacecraft captured these extraordinary views of Mars while testing its imaging systems during its journey toward the metallic asteroid Psyche. The mission carries advanced instruments designed to study what may be an exposed planetary core rich in iron and nickel. Even during transit, its cameras are producing detailed calibration images that reveal craters, volcanic plains, and atmospheric haze across the Martian surface.
