NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope captured the clearest infrared images of Neptune’s rings since Voyager 2 passed the planet in 1989. The observations revealed faint dusty rings, bright icy arcs, and several surrounding moons in remarkable detail. Webb’s advanced instruments also highlighted Neptune’s atmospheric structure, offering astronomers a sharper and more detailed look at the distant ice giant than ever before.
